MIC Computer Science Department

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2002 with a view to develop quality engineers to meet the current trends in the emerging world of Information Technology. The Department provides undergraduate program in B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering).

The CSE Labs are well equipped with high end dual processor Xeon servers running Windows and Linux operating systems and 300 Pentium machines with all licensed softwares. These labs are established with an objective to promote practical knowledge in latest cutting-edge technologies and research work . The systems in the entire campus are connected through 10/100 Mbps CAT 6 UTP cabling, high-end routers and switches with 256Kbps internet facility.

The Department is currently specializing in the areas of Computer Networks, Data Mining, Soft Computing, Ad-hoc Networks, and Distributed Computing.

Objective:

To impart education, which gives knowledge and also strengthen the depth of thought to improve practical efficiency. We aim to equip the young technophiles with necessary skills to play a prominent role in the socio-economic growth, alongwith providing them a cutting-edge over competition. We believe in nourishing the interest of student to step into the field of research and development & higher education to add up to the intellectual capital of the nation.
